Sometimes you just want a smaller frame on a larger piece. This larger, beautiful nude photo was framed in a slimmer white lacquer frame from Larson Juhl. As long as the frame has enough depth, you can use slim frames on larger pieces. We build another wooden frame that goes on the inside of the outer frame and it becomes the support system. What do you do when you have an object to frame but the only frames that are deep enough don’t have the style you want? Our clients wanted a shadowbox that looked rustic with a driftwood feel. We took 2 frames from Engelsen, the smaller one on the face and the larger one turned on it’s side and glued under the smaller frame to create the depth we needed and the style the customer wanted.
